A design studio rooted in material and memory

design with context

Design begins with a good question and is built with intention. We create spaces, objects, and experiences born from the dialogue between function, aesthetics, and emotion. We’re moved by the act of creating from what is essential—with honesty and purpose.

THE ESSENTIALS

Quiet forms that hold weight, memory, and the kind of beauty that reveals itself slowly. Made to accompany, not to impress—these pieces stay with us, season after season, like objects that know where they belong.

Collections

(01)

THE POMA COLLECTION

Hand-carved in stone, this collection honors the artisanal technique of pumice carving practiced in the highlands of Santa Lucía Milpas Altas, Sacatepéquez, Guatemala. Each piece reflects a dialogue between raw material and skilled hand, preserving a craft passed down through generations while inviting it into contemporary design.

THE SOMOS COLLECTION

The SOMOS Collection brings together designer Esteban Paredes and artisans from Chinautla, Guatemala, in a shared exploration of terracotta. Each lamp blends ancestral technique with contemporary form, highlighting collaboration as both process and value. These objects reflect a meeting point between craft and design, where tradition continues to shape the present with quiet strength.

CÁLIDO LAB

This is where we let ideas take shape before they settle—an open space for experimentation, one-of-a-kind pieces, and process-led design. Cálido Lab is where we test materials, revisit forgotten techniques, and follow curiosity without a fixed outcome. It’s a place to explore freely, to create without urgency, and to let form emerge in its own time.
